Plumpton Racecourse is delighted to announce it is continuing the popular £60,000 SIS Cheltenham Bonus for the 2011-12 season.
The first of the qualifying races is held at Plumpton’s race meeting on Monday 14th November with further qualifiers on 5th and 19th December, 2nd and 16th January and 13th February.
This exciting bonus initiative, sponsored by horse racing broadcasters SIS, offers the connections of a horse that wins one of six nominated Novices Chases at Plumpton the opportunity to scoop the valuable £60,000 cash bonus if it goes on to win any steeple chase at the Cheltenham Festival in March. It was last won by Voy Por Ustedes who won at Plumpton before going onto triumph in the Arkle Chase.
If won, the £60,000 prize is divided with £50,000 to the winning owner, £5,000 to the winning trainer and £5,000 shared by the stable employees in the winning trainer’s yard. If there is more than one winner the bonus is shared.
The bonus scheme helps Plumpton attract genuine Festival contenders, and provides Plumpton racegoers with a great opportunity to see racing’s future stars in action, and a fabulous cash bonus for owners and trainers during these difficult times on top of all the other benefits of winning at Jump Racing’s ultimate Festival. It also rewards the dedication and hard work of the stable staff of the winning trainer.
