Getting to Plumpton takes you through the heart of the beautiful Sussex South Downs.

By Rail
Plumpton Racecourse is ideally located for customers using the train, as Plumpton Station adjoins the Racecourse grounds, and our entrances are only a short five minute walk from the platforms.  Plumpton is served by a regular train service between London Victoria and Hastings, and there are additional stopping services to Plumpton on racedays.

We also run a Coach service from Brighton station on racedays, if you are coming from the South Coast or Brighton. The Regency Coaches service to Plumpton Racecourse departs from the Coach Pick Up point behind Brighton Station 90 minutes before the start of the first race, and leaves Plumpton Racecourse 30 minutes after the last race.

By Bus
A direct bus service from Brighton to Plumpton Racecourse is run by Regency Coaches. The bus leaves Brighton train station 90 minutes before the first race, returning 30 minutes after the last race. A return ticket is £4.

The pick up point for Regency Coaches at Brighton Station is behind the Station at the designated Coach Pick Up point. 

By Road

From the M25

- Leave the M25 at Junction 7, follow M23 to Crawley/Gatwick Airport

- When M23 joins the A23 continue towards Brighton

- Leave A23 at A273 towards Hassocks

- Follow A273 and turn right at the bottom of the hill onto the B2112 towards Ditchling

- At Ditchling roundabout turn right onto B2116 towards Plumpton

- Turn left at the Half Moon Pub and follow signs to the racecourse

From Brighton

- Follow A23 northbound and take the first exit (A273 to Hassocks)

- Follow A273 and bear right at bottom of hill onto the B2112 towards Ditchling

- At Ditchling roundabout turn right onto B2116 towards Plumpton

- Turn left at the Half Moon Pub and follow signs to the racecourse

By Foot

By Air
Gatwick Airport is a short 20 minute direct train journey, making Plumpton easily accessible for the whole of the UK and beyond.
