Paddock & Marquee Restaurants

The Paddock Restaurant, and seasonal Marquee restaurant, are very popular choices for racegoers looking for a delicious meal, and a base for the day with stunning views.

The Paddock Restaurant is located on the First Floor of the Sussex Stand, offering panoramic views of the parade ring and racetrack, whilst the Marquee Restaurant is alongside the final fence and last furlong, at the heart of the action.

The Paddock and Marquee Restaurants are very popular. We fully recommend that anyone wishing to enjoy a delicious meal with a superlative view of the Racecourse to call ahead and make a reservation.

Our top chefs create special seasonal menus for race-goers to ensure we make the most of the freshest ingredients including locally sourced meats, fruits and vegetables.  We also offer an excellent wine menu with a wide range of styles and vintages.

A welcome drink, three-course meal and a table for the day, is all included in the package price.  Advance booking is usually required.

The Paddock Restaurant is situated on the first floor of the Sussex Stand to which we do not have lift access – if you require assistance in this regard, or have any special dietary requirements, please call the Racecourse office on 01273 890383 or email racing@plumptonracecourse.co.uk.

Plumpton teams up with TV Wine Expert Jilly Goolden

Plumpton Racecourse is delighted to announce it is working with leading wine expert and TV personality Jilly Goolden to bring her expertise to benefit the racegoers of Plumpton.  Her wine tasting notes are now available to help diners select their wine choices in the very popular Paddock Restaurant.

Jilly is a regular visitor to Plumpton Racecourse, and is currently appearing on ITV’s Best Dish – The Chefs. She said “My three great passions in life are horses, wine and food, so to combine all three at Plumpton Racecourse is definitely a winning combination for me.  I am delighted to help with contributing notes on the wine list and look forward to becoming involved  in helping to develop the wine list in the future”

It is fantastic for Plumpton that Jilly enjoys coming racing at Plumpton, and has offered to help us.  We are sure our Paddock Restaurant guests will enjoy reading Jilly’s detailed notes and using them to help select the best wines for their menu selections. The Paddock Restaurant offers a range of locally sourced dishes and is usually an advance sell out – we are sure with Jilly’s endorsement it will be even more popular.
