Plumpton Racecourse’s final meeting of the season takes place on Sunday 9th May with an action packed programme of family entertainments on Family Fun Day, with Free Entry for children under 16.
The Children’s Trust Mascot Champion Hurdle featuring 20 mascot runners attempting Plumpton’s uphill finish, will take place before racing, who will also be mingling with the crowd through the afternoon.
In addition to all the entertainment of a day at the races, there is plenty for children of all ages to see and do including a traditional funfair in the centre of the course. Following racing, Plumpton also stages the finals of the local South East Point to Point Pony Races.
Many racegoers enjoy bringing their own picnics into the centre of the course, or there is a selection of food outlets including a delicious hog roast and local sausage BBQ. Tunbridge Wells Sainsbury’s will also be offering a free fruit giveaway to children.
