Moorcroft Racehorse Welfare Centre is celebrating it’s 11th annual fund raising raceday at Plumpton Racecourse on Monday 18^th October.

The Moorcroft Racehorse Welfare Centre is nestled in the heart of the glorious Sussex Weald country, and is one of three BHA accredited racehorse rehabilitation centres in the UK.

The Moorcroft Raceday at Plumpton has already raised £400,000 since its inception, and the annual raceday is its most successful fundraising event contributing 20% towards the annual running costs of the Centre.

Moorcroft Raceday features a number of special fundraising activities:

Shetland Pony Champion Hurdle
10 Shetland ponies will be lining up for the “off” at 1.50pm in the Shetland Pony Champion Hurdle. Run for the first time in 2009, racegoers get the opportunity to view the Shetlands parading in the paddock beforehand, and the tote kindly run a pool on the race so you can back your own fancy. The race itself features ponies sponsored by many prominent owners. Moorcroft Charity Lunch and Auction 
Tickets are available for £80 inc. VAT to the annual charity lunch held in the Plumpton Pavilion marquee. The package includes:

• Premier Enclosure badge and Race Programme
• Table for the day in the Plumpton Pavilion Marquee
• Champagne Reception
• Three course served lunch with half a bottle of wine
• Afternoon Tea 

 alongside the opportunity to rub shoulders with many of racing’s prominent owners and trainers. Have a flutter on the horse of promise, or bid for a “money cannot buy” item in the charity auction.
